Opening Ceremonies

Sunday, May 3 from 3-4:30pm at Port Coquitlam Community Centre

Join us for the kick-off to May Days! A tradition dating back to 1923, featuring traditional maypole dancing by children and seniors, dance performances, the presentation of the 2026 May Day Royal Party, and more entertainment. The first 103 people through the door at our May Days Opening Ceremony will receive a free one-day Recreation pass.

PoCo Kids Bike Race

Saturday, May 9 at 10am in downtown Port Coquitlam

A full day of activities starts with a free, fun and non-competitive event bike race for kids, right before the May Day Parade.

 May Day Parade

Saturday, May 9 at 11am in downtown Port Coquitlam

Don't miss the iconic May Day Parade! As one of the longest-running community parades in the Lower Mainland, the May Day Parade is a cherished tradition in downtown Port Coquitlam. Don't miss the 8am pre-parade Pancake Breakfast at The Outlet with PoCo Scouts!
